Location

This year the Fly Swap will be located in the east end of our building again rather than in the large tent we have used in the past.  This is the 1500 square foot space that is attached to our shop and it has a separate entrance.  Given the inclement weather we often get for the event you will be able to shop in comfort sheltered from any wind, rain or snow. 

Step 1

The 2010 Trout Bum Fly Swap is an opportunity for you to sell new or used gear and get something in return for it.  Bring your unwanted gear into our store between April 5th and 15th to register to sell in the fly swap event.  There is a $1.00 registration fee per item.  Price your gear to Sell!  Don't get greedy.  Remember customers are looking for deals at this event and if you price your items too high they likely won't sell.  You set the price for each day.  The event is 3 days - Friday, April 16th; Saturday, April 17th & Sunday, April 18th.  Choose your first, second and third day prices, making a sweeter deal as the event goes on.   An example for a nice fly rod would be: Day 1 - $150, Day 2 - $125, Day 3 - $99.  Customers can get a better deal the longer they wait, but they also take the chance that the merchandise might be sold first.

Step 2

Come into our shop April 16th - 18th for the best bargains on new and used gear.  Remember you will not only be able to choose from gear that customers sell, but also brand spankin' new gear from many of the best brands in the industry.  These new products will be available on sale directly from our shop at deep discounts.  

Step 3

If you sell gear in the swap you choose between 70% cash or 100% store credit.
Use your store credit towards the purchase of a new fly rod, a pair of waders or anything you choose.
During these tough economic times this is the perfect opportunity to generate some credit to buy the new toys you've been wishing for all winter!
