Fall is here and the temperatures are beginning to drop. The summer was great with plenty of water and mild temperatures. Baetis should be showing up on most of the rivers as the temperatures continue to drop. The Gallatin River is fishing great. There have been a few Baetis on the cooler days and still a few spruce moths around also. Stonefly nymphs and small Woolly Buggers have also worked well. The Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley is fishing ok. The Hopper bite is coming to an end and fish seem to be eating small attracter dries. The Lower Madison is not the best option right now due to the warmer water temperatures but has been fishing well in the mornings. The fishing in Yellowstone Park has been good. The Lamar and Soda Butte have been fishing well with PMD's, Hoppers, and Terrestrials. Slough Creek has also been good with Terrestrials and Dragonflies. Fishing has been great for us this summer and should continue into the fall, so come see Greater Yellowstone Flyfishers this season or give us a call at (406) 585-5321 and book a trip with us. 9/25/09 Milesnick Spring Creek Fishing Report
