Lamar River |
|||
|
The Lamar River is easily accessible as it parallels the highway between Tower and the Northeast entrance. And its usually about 25-200 yards from the road. This river is easy to hike and has some of the best fly fishing Yellowstone has to offer. There are decent sized rainbow and cutthroat trout found on Lamar River. It would not be to uncommon to land a 16 incher, but the average size are around 12 inches. The Lamar River can be hard to fish as your eyes tend to wander looking at the beautiful surroundings and the abundance of wild life. Have one of GY Flyfishers guides take you on an amazing tour of this fantastic river. ![]() |
