Lewis River

For a popular spot near the boarder of the park the Lewis River flows south out of Lake Lewis before it flows into the Snake River. The entire course of Lewis River runs within the boarders of the park. This River is named for Meriweather Lewis the commander of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. There is a short stretch of the river known as the Lewis River Channel and the only portion of the river that boats are permitted. There are an abundance of fish to be caught if you know where to drop your line in. Let one of our GY Fly Fishers' guides take you out by boat or in waders. We'll get that Blue ribbon on the line!
