Fishing Conditions & Comments:
The Upper Madison is high and will be that way for a little while longer. Hebgen Lake is nearing capacity and there is still snowpack left in the mountains. It has been fishing well above Lyons Bridge. The clarity decreases greatly below where the West Fork comes in. Dead drifting stonefly nymphs with a beadhead nymph such as a Shop Vac as a trailer works well. Fishing along the banks with a San Juan Worm should also pick up some fish.
